Homepage Architecture

What the homepage says, in what order, and why. The homepage has to serve four different audiences without becoming a menu — so every section has one job, makes one claim, and offers one next step. This is the argument the page makes; the words get written into it once you've confirmed the structure.

01

Who the homepage is for

Four audiences arrive on the same page wanting different things. A nonprofit homepage can't have one conversion — but it must have a primary one, and a clear separate lane for everyone else. Blurring those lanes is the core problem with the current site.

The most under-served journey today is Admissions.

A family deciding where their adult child will live is making the highest-stakes decision on this site — and right now it gets one link. The homepage needs to visibly open that door.

The page, section by section

Read top to bottom — this is the order a visitor experiences.

JobWhat this section is for
ClaimThe one thing it must land
ProofWhat makes it believable
ActionWhat they can do next
1

Hero

Everyone
Job
Say what Treasure House is, who it's for, and how it feels — in about three seconds.
Claim
This is a real home in Phoenix where young adults with disabilities live, grow, and belong.
Proof
The illustrated Sonoran scene, with real residents' faces rotating through it — the place and the people, at once.
Action
Donate (primary) · Apply / Schedule a Visit (secondary)
Needs from youMore resident photos — you mentioned 30 residents; we currently have four we can rotate through.
2

Recognition

Families · Donors
Job
Name the thing a parent is actually worried about, before asking anything of them.
Claim
Your adult child deserves somewhere they're genuinely known — not just looked after.
Proof
Plain language about daily life and independence. No stock reassurance.
Action
None — this section only earns the right to continue.
3

Audience router

All four
Job
Four clear doorways, so nobody has to hunt through a menu.
Claim
Whoever you are, there's a way in — and it's obvious which one is yours.
Proof
Four cards, each labelled by intent and pointing at one lane: Find a Home (Admissions) · Life at Treasure House · Ways to Give · Get Involved.
Action
One click into the right lane.
4

Life at Treasure House

Families · Donors
Job
Finally surface the substance — what living here actually looks like.
Claim
This isn't housing. It's residential living, coaching, employment and community life, built together.
Proof
Four cards, each linking to its own page — framed as a life, not a service catalogue.
Action
Into Life at Treasure House.
Needs from youConfirm the four and their names — question 1 on the sitemap. And tell us whether "Life at Treasure House" is language you'd use.
5

Proof

Families · Donors
Job
Show that this works, in residents' and families' own words.
Claim
Real people live here, and their lives are visibly better for it.
Proof
Resident and family voices · founded by Kurt & Brenda Warner · NFL Foundation, Arizona Cardinals Charities, The Builders Cup.
Action
Into Stories.
Needs from youOne or two quotes we're cleared to use — a resident, a parent, or both. This is the single most persuasive thing on the page and the one we can't write ourselves.
6

Impact

Donors
Job
Make the scale concrete, with numbers that count up as you scroll.
Claim
A real, full house — and a track record behind it.
Proof
30 residents · founded 2018 in Glendale · plus two more figures we need from you.
Action
Into Ways to Give — with a quiet link through to Financials & Accountability, which is what a serious donor checks next.
Needs from youTwo more numbers you'd want a donor to see — and confirmation of anything financial before it goes on the page.
7

Growing Home

Donors
Job
Tell the expansion story and give it somewhere to go.
Claim
The model works — and it's being built for more people than one campus can hold.
Proof
Campaign progress against the goal, in the layout and colouring you picked out.
Action
Donate · Tax Credit Giving.
Needs from youIs Growing Home a capital campaign with a dollar goal, or a broader story? That changes what this section shows. We will not publish a raised-to-date figure until you've confirmed it.
8

Closing invitation

Everyone
Job
One low-friction step for anyone who scrolled the whole way.
Claim
There's a place for you here — whichever door you came through.
Proof
Carried by everything above it.
Action
Donate (primary) · Apply / Schedule a Visit.

What we have, and what we need
